Welcome to an hour-plus show of the very best
in Folk, Roots and Acoustic music
A note to all the listeners:
This Sunday’s folk show 22nd October sadly will be the last – for a number of reasons – it’s been a great 5 years and I want to thank you all for being on the journey with me.
Along the way I’ve made more than 250 programmes which, when added to the shows I made for the BBC means I’ve made around 1,000 folk broadcasts. Not bad for a banjo player.
A massive thanks too to all the artists / record companies / festival and folk club organisers for being so positive about the show and thanks also to the many people who emailed me giving me heads up for acts that otherwise I may have missed.
Along the way there have been many many joyous discoveries and many a cracking night of tunes and songs with old friends and new friends.
Financially we broke even. I’ve paid the server costs now up to Sept next year so there’s 250 plus shows for you to download and keep – so get it done quick as…
Many thanks to the people who have donated and helped keep us afloat for the last five years.
I will of course still be at it with banjo and mando – wandering with Molly (the VeeDub) and going wherever the craic and the tunes are good and I hope I’ll see some of you along the way.
