  • We listened to your last show as the weather was moving in. We were sitting on the back porch watching it come and listening to you as we have done so many times in the past. We are going to miss the sound of your voice and the tunes you put out there. Thanks for all you’ve done.

  • Thanks Mike. For contributing hugely to my Folk education and costing me a fortune in CD’s. Wishing you all the Best. Steve.

  • I’m a relatively new listener from the States, and I love the show – So of course I’m sad to learn that I’ve joined the party near its end. Oh the other hand, I feel fortunate to have discovered the man in the stone shed while his discs were still spinning. Thank you Mike Harding for the wonderful variety of folk music you’ve exposed this new fan to, as well as the free wit and wisdom that came with every episode – And thank you in advance for the old episodes that are currently downloading now to my laptop. I hope to listen to each and every one before my days are done.

Best wishes to you and yours,

    Randy in Graham WA USA

  • Good Luck Mike, thanks for the last 5 years. I did a concert with you in Harrogate, many years ago when I was the stage manager, and we bravely made it from the pub through the crowds waiting to get in, to the stage and never missed a beat…. God Bless … Dave.

  • Very sorry to hear that you’ve decided to call “Time” on your Folk Show, Mike. It was a weekly breath of fresh air, and a fitting showcase for the wealth of talent out there. You’ve introduced me to some wonderful singers and instrumentalists via your inspirational programme, which I shall dearly miss.
    God bless you!

  • So sad, that we will no longer have your program, to keep us up to date with what’s going on – living in France, it’s difficult. I listened to all your shows on the BBC, and was very happy when you continued on the web. It’s people like you who have kept this latest ‘revival’ going for so long. I hope you manage to find another use for the ‘stone shed in the yorkshire moors’, and I wish you all good luck and health. Again, thank you;

  • Hi Mike
Really emotional to hear you are finishing the show
I’m a gardener and you’ve kept me company over the years and introduced me to some great music
Thanks for all the time and effort it must have taken you I hope you have a ton of fun in the future
If you’re ever in cornwall drop me a line we play in St Kew once a fortnight

  • I was so sorry to hear you tell us that this was to be your last show – in fact I thought you were joking at first…..

I have listened to each and every podcast and learnt so much from you as well as being introduced to so much new music along the way.

My car journeys (for that is where I have been listening) won’t be the same without you and I sincerely hope that there is nothing sinister or unhappy behind your very sad decision….

All good wishes …….. and thank you!

  • Hey Mike, What a great run…congratulations to you and the team…the show has been my ‘go to’ source for great music wherever I have happened to be and I’m very grateful…keep on keeping on and I hope we catch up again someplace along the road.

  • Mike – many thanks for the time and effort you have put in producing 252 delightful podcasts – I have through your efforts discovered many new Atrists / Albums and your programs have provided many a distraction to the monotony of the long journeys up the A1 / M1 from London to the Industrial North – and will continue to do so for some considerable time to come.

Wishing you well – your weekly shows will be sorely missed
